POLICE investigating a missing person have announced that a body has been located.
Devon and Cornwall Police have said a body was located in the Truro area on Thursday, February 8.
Formal identification has yet to take place and police are not treating to death as suspicious while they prepare a file for the coroner.
Devon and Cornwall Police have also said that the family of Natasha Birkin, aged 35, from Truro, who was reported missing on Thursday 8 February, have been made aware of the discovery.
A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "The body of a woman was located in the Truro area on Thursday 8 February.
"Her death is not being treated as suspicious and a file is being prepared for the coroner.
"Formal identification is due to take place.
"The family of Natasha Birkin, 35, from Truro, who was reported missing on Thursday 8 February, have been made aware."
