DESCRIPTION
This terraced two bedroom cottage is presented in very good condition and has previously been used as a productive holiday cottage. The property has recently been improved, with the roof being replaced with a slate tile roof and is presented in good condition. Whilst there is no designated parking with this property, however parking is often found in The Barnhay or in the nearby roads. According to the owner, It is thought that this row of cottages dates back some 500 years and were originally occupied by the craftsmen who built the local church.
ACCOMMODATION
A path from The Barnhay provides access to the property. Under a storm porch, a timber stable door provides access to the cottage. The initial entrance area is tiled, which leads through to the insulated floor where there is a laminate wood effect floor fitted.
This room has a stone-faced fireplace with a fully lined wood burning stove, exposed ceiling timbers and a bespoke kitchen with space and plumbing for a washing machine, an inset Belfast sink in the oak worktops, a bespoke handmade kitchen incorporating a Bosch fan-assisted oven, integrated full size AEG dishwasher with a Cooke & Lewis 4-ring hob with an extractor fan over. The room is amply sized for a sofa and a dining table, with pleasant views over the courtyard garden behind.
The turning stairs rise to the first floor landing. Underneath are the fuse boards and space for a refrigerator. There are two bedrooms upstairs, the smaller room currently utilised as a dressing room with a lockable storage cupboard. If the storage cupboard was removed the room would easily make a second bedroom. The recently replaced (2 years ago) Worcester Bosch combi-boiler is located in the airing cupboard. The main double bedroom has an attractive view over the courtyard garden below and across to the church and out to the Mill Pool, with a view of the water. The family bathroom has a full sized enamel bath with a mixer shower directly off the boiler above, with good pressure.
OUTSIDE
Opposite the shared path in front of the front door, is a very attractive gravelled courtyard area of garden with a low stone wall surrounding on two sides. There are climbing roses in the beds along one of the walls. There are outside electric sockets and outside lighting.
