APPROVAL of the details for 123 homes to be built on land of Bickland Hill, Falmouth has been lodged with Cornwall Council.
The already granted outline planning allows Persimmon homes to build up to 300 new homes across the entire site, together with a local centre, public open space, landscaping, pedestrian and cycle links, sustainable drainage.
The application is for the approval of details relating to layout, scale, appearance and landscaping (the “reserved matters”) in respect of the development of 123 dwellings on and at Lower Kergilliack Farm, Falmouth.
The original permission was granted in May 2014 subject to a number of conditions.
A signed Section 106 legal agreement is also in place.

Access arrangements for the site were approved as part of the outline planning application and comprise a new roundabout on Bickland Hill to the east and a new T-junction on Hillhead Road to the north.
Persimmon Homes say the design and housing figure for the site has been reduced from 149 to 123 units "to reflect the wider outline consent to ensure the 300 threshold is not exceeded; and the desire to ensure the site can offer more substantial landscaping to support the biodiversity enhancement."
The site forms the third phase of the wider Eve Parc residential development, which was granted planning permission.
The proposal comprises 123 detached, semi-detached and terraced houses along with a community orchard.
It is proposed that the main access to the site will be gained directly from Bickland Hill.
The proposed access junction will form part of a new 4-arm roundabout comprising the site access, Bickland Hill (North and South) and Conway Road.
The proposal makes provision for 35 per cent affordable units, which equals 43 homes, which is split between rented and shared ownership and 80 open market homes.
The proposal offers public open space of which sits to the east of the site by way of a community orchard
In its Design and Access Statement, Persimmon Homes says: "A 123 house scheme can be developed on the site adding positively to the existing housing development within Eve Parc, along with wider locale in a manner that is sensitive to the site and its surroundings.
"Moreover, the proposed development would provide a well considered environment providing much needed new housing in a manner that is compliant with local plan policy.
"Whilst fewer houses are proposed than the previously approved, as identified, it is clear and described in this Design and Access Statement, that a lower density proposal offers a much more sensible way to manage the challenging constraints of the site in a manner that will secure a residential development that is most suited to its sensitive landscape context on the edge of Falmouth."
