THIS half-term seek out one of Helston’s hidden gems, the museum where you can find an action packed programme of events for the holidays.

Starting on Monday, February 17, you can try your hand at Kite Making in a workshop that runs from 10am to noon.

This event is suitable for children aged eight to 11, under eights must be accompanied by an adult. All materials provided. £3 per child, booking essential.

On Wednesday 19 from 2pm to 4pm there is a quilling workshop for adults. Learn the fascinating craft of quilling using coloured papers – make cards, pictures etc. All |materials supplied. £3 per person, booking essential.

Also on Wednesday is the Book Club held at 10.30am. This is a book club with a twist, as all tomes all by Cornish authors or books about Cornwall. £3 per person.

There is a Lunchtime Lecture on Thursday, February 20, entitled ‘Loe Bar’ by Adrian Spalding. £3 per person, tea and |coffee supplied, bring your own lunch.

Finally on Friday 21 is Sports for All - play with old fashioned children’s board games, handle sport related items from the museum collection and design a new board game on the theme of our ‘Sports and Pastimes’|display. This is a free workshop for all ages.

The museum is open Monday to Saturday, 10am to 4pm. There is full disabled access, and dogs are welcome on leads.
