In the deepest, densest forests of Hayle, things are stirring, with the arrival of a rather rare species at Paradise Park.
At five feet tall, with 56 serrated teeth and big curved claws, which have similarities to the wing bones of modern birds, this new species is not to be messed with.
Curator, David Woolcock, explained: “In preparation for our Dinosaur Quiz starting on May 1, we have taken |delivery of three Velociraptors and are currently training them to... well... behave!”
“They have a tendency to chase moving objects like... humans. So if you see one, our advice is to stand still – we’ll be running in the opposite direction to try and lure them away obviously!”
The very realistic Velociraptor models will be joined between now and May by larger Triceratops and raptors from the Jurassic and Cretaceous period. One is already on show, so come and visit |now.
