Artists will be showcasing their work throughout the Royal Cornwall Hospitals Trust this summer.
The first artist is Zach Craft who is exhibiting in the Link Corridor. Zach is a medical student who describes his work as “developing a passion for trying to pay tribute to the delicacy that the Cornish Coast has to offer through photography.” Zach has sold several photos and is very popular with staff and patients/visitors. 50 per cent of the profit generated through the sale of these photographs will be donated to Surfers Against Sewage.
The second artist is Stacey Kessell who developed her love of art while at school in Truro. Self-taught artist Stacey works in acrylics on canvas, her paintings are abstract interpretations of the way she views the world around her. To Stacey a blank canvas is an exciting opportunity to express herself in powerful colours, patterns and shapes, her first exhibition held at the Pydar Gallery in Truro last September was a great success.
The final artist is Lis Thomas who will be exhibiting her work at West Cornwall Hospital. Lis’s work is visually attracted to the abstract qualities of everyday objects and scenes, incorporating interesting colour combinations, an arrangement of shapes, textures, capturing the essence of a place. Since completing her Fine Art Degree at Falmouth College of Art in 2004 Lis has shown her work at various galleries throughout Cornwall.
