Plans are well ahead for one of the first flower shows of the year - Devoran Spring Flower Show which will be held in the village hall on March 17.
It is to be opened this year by well known broadcaster and author Tim Hubbard who also lives in the area.
The show, which will include entries for cookery, handicraft and photography as well as for flowers and floral art, will also involve pupils from the local school in a separate school's section.
A new class this year will be for the home made Easter Hat and a gingerbread creature for the children's section as well as scarecrows.
Schedules and entry forms are now available from the Devoran Post Office and entries have to be in by March 13.
Organisers are hoping that as many people as possible support what is a popular traditional village event and which overs the years has always had strong support.
On the day, the show will officially open at 2pm and teas and a plant stall will be available to the public.
As special photographic display is to be put on by Mrs Marie Bird, who runs the village post office.
