London artists are taking up a residency with Helston's CAST and will be running art workshops.
The artists from Open School East, OSE, will begin their residency at the CAST building on 3 Penrose Hill on Monday, July 20 and as part of it will be running daily workshops.
The sessions start off with a Cyanotype Workshop - making photographic prints out of materials from the local environment, on Tuesday, July 21 from 11am to 4pm.
While the evening will hold an oral history workshop from 7 to 9pm, where those attending are invited to share their experiences of living or working in Helston.
A presentation of the OSE associate’s work will be delivered on Wednesday from 7 to 9pm in a Pecha Kucha format - talking alongside 20 images with each each lasting 20 seconds.
A launch of a publication the artists make about their stay will take place as part of a farewell party on Friday night with farewell drinks and music provided by DJ KornKob – all are welcome.
Every morning there will a morning exercise and breakfast club starting at 7:30am devised by OSE associate Michael Whitby, inspired by artists and thinkers such as Johannes Itten, Bauhaus, and Situationist artist and philosopher Asger Jorn.
