TRANSITION Truro is hosting a major event on Saturday, February 7 at Truro City Hall, 10.30am to 3.30pm.
The indoor event will include people who can give advice on how to reduce domestic fuel bills and help that is available with these.
It will showcase local community organisations and businesses leading the way to Truro being a lower carbon community. Some local schools and other public sector organisations will be taking part.
The event focuses on the home and there will be open space discussion tables and post it boards for people to contribute ideas, raise questions, and talk to representatives of Transition Truro about issues such as how to 'grow your own', allotments, and other aspects of the home from waste to energy.
Charlotte MacKenzie who is co-ordinating the event for Transition Truro said: "This is a really exciting opportunity for people to find out more about how to reduce household costs and help save the planet while you are doing that. People will be able to come and go as they please all day, talking to people on exhibition stalls and tables. Tea and coffee will be available all day.
