VOLUNTEER hosts are now being signed up for 2009 Daffodil Tea Parties during February and March. Marie Curie Nurses are asking people to get involved and organise their own for this worthy cause.
Tea and coffee has been kindly donated by Origin Coffee for this special appeal. Tea Party packs contain posters, balloons, invites, a supply of coffee and tea and a box of daffodils.
Fundraising Manager, Lynda Thomas, said: “ Please help us to continue providing practical nursing care for terminally ill cancer patients who wish to have the choice of dying at home supported by their families. A Marie Curie Nurse costs £20 an hour but the service is free to the patients and families.
However the charity relies on generous voluntary donations to fund it’s services. Our service is unique and is priceless to those who receive it. Why not gather your friends and work colleagues and host a Daffodil Tea Party for your local Marie Curie Nursing Service.”
