HEAD to Miss Peapod’s for a blast of folk and pop |influenced tunes as Andy White comes to Falmouth.

Belfast born and raised, but now living in Melbourne, Andy White has earned a global following for blending folk and pop stylings with a poet’s sensibility.

Known for his collaborations with Tim Finn (Crowded House) and Liam O’Maonlai (Hothouse Flowers) as well as his solo work, Andy White has been one of Ireland’s most accomplished and respected| song-writers since his 1986 debut, ‘Rave on Andy White’.

Andy will be showcasing songs from his new album How Things Are, his 11th studio album, and his most intimate to date.

The album contains a beautiful and honest collection of songs, straight from the heart which came about after Andy’s 15-year-long marriage ended, in order to answer the question “How are things?”

While detailing his heartbreak in his writing, Andy’s optimistic and appreciative outlook on life has |managed to create an empowering and uplifting album, full of promise.

“Writing these songs was my way of coping. All of the songs are intense, but it's not all a sad story.

“Love at first sight? Yes, that Romeo and Juliet moment does exist. I know how lucky I am that it |happened. Even just once is amazing.” said Andy.

Having worked with the great names of Irish |music - Sinead O’Connor, Donal Lunny, Van Morrison - and writing with the likes of Peter Gabriel and Neil and Tim Finn, Andy has won Ireland’s top songwriting awards and toured the world many times over.
