Canadian Reggae, Dub, Soul Meisters Bedouin Soundclash are to visit Newquay for their first much anticipated south west show.

Following on from the success of their last single, When The Night Feels My Song, which was a massive radio hit for the band in 2006 along with being the soundtrack for a well known mobile telephone network the Canadian trio are embarking on their biggest UK headline tour to date in March.

Many will have been familiar with the band long before their commercial success last year with their music being synonymous with the surfing lifestyle and the perfect soundtrack to any sunny day.

Bedouin Soundclash are Eon Sinclair on bass, Pat Pengelley on drums and Jay Malinowski providing vocals and guitar.

Musically Bedouin Soundclash are a unique blend of Reggae, Dub, Soul and Ska citing influences amongst others such as Desmond Dekker, The Clash, Bad Brains, Roni Size and the Asian Dub Foundation.

The likes of Zane Lowe and Mike Davies (Radio 1) have been key in this commercial crossover in the bands UK success championing the single from the early days and seeing it through to its heavy rotation on the station at the end of last year.

SW1 are very excited to present this show in the south west and it's one they've been after since way back in 2005 when the band were first played late one night on Mike Davies' Lock-up show.

Bedouin Soundclash will play at the Walkabout bar, Newquay on March 14 starting at 8pm. Tickets are available from the Buzz Bar in Newquay, Solo Music and Fopp in Truro and More Music in Falmouth.
