Head over to Gweek Village hall from tomorrow for a rip-roaring, thigh-slapping night of fun courtesy of the Gweek Pantoloons.

The group, now in their 16th performance, are performing Robyn’s Son Cruising, an adaptation of the tale of Robinson Crusoe, written and directed by ‘Chief Loon’ Brian Toney.

It involves a local cast including Tim Ashley as Captain Worthal, Terry Lander as Bob the Bosun, Taff Lander as Arthur Brain and Daniel Ashley as the last living dodo, with Mark Taylor as Dame Robyn the ship’s cook and Chloe Chiplin as her son Andy. Their travels take them to the island of Pago Trago, where they encounter a tribe of cannibals led by their chief Wotta Woppa (Karen Monhemius).

Suitable for all ages, performances take place at Gweek Village Hall tomorrow (Thursday) until Saturday, at 7pm each night plus an extra Saturday matinee at 2pm.

There will be a colouring competition for children, refreshments and ice cream will be served, with a beer and wine bar also open.

Tickets cost £5 for adults and £2.50 for under 16s, from Gweek Premier Shop, The Black Swan at Gweek, Brian Toney on 221652 or the Pantoloons website, plus on the door.
