A leading light of the theatre world will be remembered this weekend when Helston Theatre Company takes to the stage.
Members are presenting a double bill at the Epworth Hall this Friday and Saturday, under the title Alternative Accommodation and Musical Memories.
The production is in memory of George Shutter, who was musical director, accompanist and friend of the group for more than 40 years and who died earlier this year.
Audiences will have the opportunity to enjoy an evening's entertainment while at the same time raising much needed funds for the charity Macmillan Cancer Care.
The evening starts with the feel good comedy Alterative Accommodation, while the second half is entitled Musical Memories and features a selection of song and dance numbers from some of the shows that George was involved in.
It includes performances from special guest soloists Angela Thomas and Anthony Richards.
Tickets are available from Heathercraft in Coingehall Street, by calling 01326 568936 or on the door if still available.
