Performance students are ending their academic year with a Shakespearean encore, giving friends, parents and the public a chance to see what they have been up to in their time at Truro College.
First and second year students will have the opportunity to showcase the skills they have developed on their course, with a series of end of year shows.
The college’s second year acting students have been putting all their efforts into their final year show, and are retelling the Shakespeare comedy As You Like It, with a groovy 1960s twist. A special performance on Sunday, June 11, at 2pm at Trebah Gardens will allow students to perform in a new location to members of the public.
There will also be performances at the college on June 6 at 2pm and 7pm for the public to enjoy.
They plan to mix timeless romance with a swinging 60s flair, and the play will combine laughter, hippies and heartbreak and is guaranteed to deliver a love story just As You Like It.
First year acting students will also be taking inspiration from Shakespeare, and performing Macbeth on Tuesday June 13 at 2pm and 7pm, and Wednesday June 14 at 7pm in the Mylor theatre.
Entry to the Trebah Gardens performance will be included in the price of the entry ticket. For more information about acting courses at Truro College, please visit truro-penwith.ac.uk/what-to-study/our-departments/music-performing-arts
