ELECTION day cannot come soon enough, so says the Skipper. Whilst letter writer, Gill Zella Martin of Porthleven, tells us “people should support the elected councillors, Falmouth Packet January, 23” and strangely enough both are teetering on the brink of what should be the ideal method by which to run country and county ie without any politics/politicians.
The long established antiquated method of governance is no longer fit for purpose in this the start of the 21st century, given the entire principle of political parties will never embrace bona fide democracy or indeed good, sound, common sense decisions, rather the opposite!
The ideal system would sweep away the constitution which is the root of all our evils.
