ALL Saints Church, Falmouth hosted the most magical display of Christmas trees for the festive season. The festival, which was opened by the Bishop of Truro, greeted visitors with over 20 Christmas trees lighting the way to the altar and its magnificent stained glass window.
Each tree, depicting a Christmas carol, was decorated by different organisations in the area including members of other churches, flower groups, WI and RNLI.
At the entrance to the church, the most magnificent tree, decorated by members of All Saints Church, where visitors were invited to write a message on an "angel" and hang it on the tree.
Congratulations to all the members of All Saints Church, Falmouth, for their dedication and hard work in staging this wonderful display, which was truly Heaven on Earth.
Mrs S H Ballard, Strangways Villas, Truro
I WOULD like to commend churches in Falmouth, and in particular All Saints Church at the top of Killigrew Street, for upholding the true meaning of Christmas in this world of commercialism. For three weeks spanning Christmas itself, All Saints exuded peace and glad tidings to all.
I had the opportunity to see the wonderful "Festival of Christmas Trees" at All Saints Church where a myriad of Christmas trees were on display - each decorated by local groups including the RNLI, youth groups, flower clubs and Falmouth Churches of all denominations - under the theme of "Christmas Carols."
Mrs Jacqui Rickard, Trefusis Close, Truro
