THE Rotary Club of Penryn would like to thank the members of the public who donated so generously to the collections made outside local stores (Pioneer, Asda and B&Q) before Christmas.
The sum raised amounted to over £1,000, all of which will be used for the ShelterBox Trust and other local charities and to enable the Rotary Club to respond to urgent appeals in the coming months.
Without such financial contributions it would not be possible for the Rotarians to carry out their service to the community, which has continued over the last 33 years and will, hopefully, do so for many years to come.
John Clark, secretary, Rotary Club of Penryn
