I HAVE called Falmouth home since 1956 and have always loved Kimberley Park and appreciated all the work involved. Whilst visiting this week, we walked to church through the park and I was delighted to see what has been done to the pond. It looked so pretty even in the drizzle. Yesterday walking the other way I saw the waterfall too.
When here in September there were some very dark areas, which have now been thinned out and makes walking easier for old people. Obviously the root damage to the paths will be a large job but presume that will be on the list of improvements. After all the hard work involved it seems such a shame to only think of a few magpies that will easily find a home elsewhere. Cornwall is not short of nesting sites.
I look forward to seeing the park later in the year when the new pond area will be well established.
