AM I the only person getting bored of the Tremough parking fiasco getting reported on every week. This week there was practically a whole page dedicated to this "news" which has been reported on from the same angle continuously.

I am a student attending Tremough, I am local and have lived in Cornwall all my life and, yes, I do have a parking permit.

I have the benefit of being able to see the problem on both sides. However, I think it is forgotten that it is all too easy to blame the students when in fact it is not totally their fault.

For one, the bus service could probably still do with improvements. As far as I'm aware students do not know of the problems of parking on campus before they attend. Yes, we are told there are few parking spaces, but that is round about all the information we are given.

As far as I can see, action is the key to solve this issue that has been going on ever since I have been in attendance at the university a year and a half ago.

Councillors need to actually do something about it (heaven forbid they will take action). How about inviting students to these meetings that take place, getting their creative minds in on solving this ongoing issue once and for all! Simply put, people need to zip up and actually start doing something about it.

I have never written a letter to a publication before, but am fed up of people taking the easy way out and playing the blame game when it is not wholly the students' fault. Actions speak louder than words!
