WOULD it be possible to bring to the attention of the public the rotten treatment our youngsters are getting? Very hard for them to get a job and when they are lucky enough, it turns out to be part-time or seasonal. As soon as the Christmas rush is over they are put off.
Speaking about the treatment my grandson received, at the end of November he left a job that was part-time and taken on at a pub. He wasn't told it would only be short term, but by January, when it got slack, he was put on short-time for two weeks. Then he went in one day to be told it was the end and he would receive a week's wages in lieu of notice. It is now three weeks and he is still waiting for money and his P45. Surely our youngsters should receive better treatment than this. There's not much going for them in Cornwall.
