ON Monday, February 20, my mum was taken shopping to Asda by my dear sister-in-law, as she does every two weeks.
As mum has great difficulty walking, she uses a customer driven motorised trolley to get around the store. After paying for her shopping and leaving, she didn't realise she had left behind her purse/bag that she had strapped to the trolley for safety.
Mum wishes to thank the Asda greeter or trolley person who found the bag and called the phone number inside it. The bag, complete with contents, were restored to their rightful owner because of the honesty of this person.
It's all very well to say "well, it's their duty to do that" or "so they should have", but remember that we live in a world where honesty is a rarity and opportunists abound. So when honesty is apparent, thanks ought to be given.
So thank you Asda person, whoever you are. If we knew who you were, then we would have said "thank you" in person, so please kindly accept our thanks via the Packet.
