I would refer to Mr Bear's letter in last week's Packet attacking Diana Merrett.
We always encourage our members and candidates to speak out and say it as it is. That is why we are different from the limp-wristed Lib Dems and others who like to pretend that the world is as they would like it to be, and not as it is.
Falmouth would be a much more pleasant place to visit in the evenings if the police recieved proper backing and were able to have a greater presence on the streets.
It is not for the likes of Mr Bear to give us advice on our choice of candidates. I think he will find that they are a tough, outspoken lot, not easily intimidated by the politically correct, and they have the well-being of their towns and country at heart.
