I AM disgusted at the attitude of the local representatives of the retired greyhound trust. I've had my home assessed in the past and have had four greyhounds and was also told further home checks would not be necessary.

Yet my home was inspected again and because we have three flights of steps to the front door and three flights to my back garden, apparently dogs are not capable of managing something like that so we are being denied the chance to give one of these beautiful, loving and intelligent animals the opportunity of a loving home. I've had dogs live till they were almost 20 years old, which makes that assessor's point even more ridiculous and yet no matter telling them that, this opinion cannot be swayed. Plus I've been given derogatory remarks about past care of my dogs, which I find disrespectful and hurtful.

It's just sad that the greyhound I have has to remain lonely since I lost my last one to cancer due to the attitudes of some of their staff.
