A LOT of grumbles and letters will have come to you regarding the lack of short-stay parking to collect goods from Trago Mills. I feel strongly enough to add my voice to others. This has nothing to do with age, although I do qualify for a senior free pass on the buses. No, this has to do with a little common sense and communication between the owners of the public car park on the quay outside the back entrance of Trago and Trago itself!
Legally, I should have paid a parking fee when I purchased three bags of multi-purpose garden compost yesterday. In fact, I drew up in a space outside the back entrance, opened my boot and asked for my purchase to be brought out to the car. This was courteously done, and to avoid being clamped, I gave the assistant the money and he duly returned with a receipt. This was done as a kindness to me, and should be surely part of the procedure when buying heavy items and staying only for a very limited time. Please let a little common sense prevail.
