HAS every reader of the Packet been thoroughly "bored to tears" by the weekly rantings and ravings of the Skipper, over the Lib Dems in local government in Cornwall? I certainly have.

I am not a Lib Dem supporter and have not voted in any form of election for several years because I believe there is not much difference in any of the major parties and, therefore, we have no choice. In fact, it is not the political parties that run this country but the Eton, Harrow and Oxbridge educated civil servants in high office.

Moving back to the Skipper, perhaps he will concentrate his efforts in future on the matters which effect every one of us, eg high water charges; why are energy costs so high when we were told several months ago that the wholesale price of gas has gone down considerably? Why has the cost of vehicle fuel stayed high and not fallen since the pound is now at an all time high? Why has the government withdrawn funding for the duelling of the A30 between Carland and Chiverton and at Temple on Bodmin Moor?

I could go on but these are the type of issues which the Skipper really needs to get his claws into.
