I think Mr Barrie Elliot should have read my letter before attacking me in the Packet. All I asked was, "can we now assume it is official UKIP policy to abuse all students, or only students residing in Falmouth." A question to which he did not reply.
Singling out one section of the community and then blaming all society's ills on it has an unsavoury parallel with 20th century European history. Yet UKIP seem to think this un-British behaviour is acceptable politics. Very surprising behaviour for Mr Elliot, a former trade union activist. I would have thought someone from that background would have fought against such prejudice.
Maybe not, because Mr Elliot's suspect political judgement is a matter of record. This is the same Mr Elliot who was on the selection committee that dumped Candy Atherton on us. He now wants to subject us to the bizarre Diana Merrett. What has he against Falmouth?
