CAN Trebah Garden officials think about controlling the behaviour of those who use this historic beach?

On Saturday afternoon I witnessed, from my anchored boat, and not for the first time, a number of youths throwing stones from the beach at the floating warning buoy, using it as target practice.

Their throwing arena occupied the best part of the foreshore, denying individuals and families with dogs and young children the joy of the waterfront.

For an hour or more they aimed their missiles, creating a no-go area. Even canoeists had to steer a wide berth. However, their aiming skills were wanting, leading me to wonder what else they might hit.
