WATERSIDE developments, cruise liners, the dumping of nuclear waste.

The only thing beautiful Cornwall seems to be dredging up is greedy big-time money-makers who, after they have ruined what we all liked about Cornwall in the first place, will be the first to vacate to their houses in Surrey, Buckinghamshire, the Cayman Islands, etc, leaving us with dodgy Disney-style marinas, expensive apartments in prime positions and overpriced so-called affordable housing, one of the other excuses used along with creating jobs to persuade the local councils who don't need much persuading.

One sniff of a rich man's Havana cigar and they are anybody's. It was great when kids could play by the riverside and now it's a gated playground for the rich with no style or taste. Cornwall has changed. There is no more camomile lawn, homemade bread and Earl Grey tea. And little Johnny writes his name on the dirty blue bridge, “I live here, my granddad lived here”. And Johnny is a vandal?
