You asked for opinions on the rubbish situation in Falmouth. I agree, it is getting dirtier. We live near a school route, and you can follow it by the trail of litter - wrappers, bottles, cardboard, paper bags, even plastic carriers! I have also noticed that many hedges have been left untrimmed, and I think that adds to the problem, if it looks untidy, the attitude is "why should I bother to be tidy."
The dog bins are usually left overflowing, too, and as to the rubbish left out for the bin men, it is a disgrace. I often have to pass rubbish which is ankle deep. It is the same people who leave their waste out in bags, which are attacked by seagulls, yet they continue to leave it out uncovered. Could it be made a by-law that rubbish must be put in a bin or at least covered by a proper cover!
