I WOULD like to take this opportunity to thank the Falmouth Marine Band, David Spargo and the participants who organised and took part in the new Falmouth walking and cycling carnival. It was a credit to the true locals of the town who will not be put down by bureaucracy. Thank you to the mayor who attended and the help of the police force. It was a wonderful spectacle and the atmosphere was electrical. Other local organisations should also give support in the future and not criticise and take note that the true local people can and will help themselves.
