CARTER. – Mrs Diana Millicent Carter, nee Andrew, known to all as Di, of Rose Eglos, Budock Water died peacefully in her sleep on 30th April 2016. She was 86. Di leaves her son, Chris and her sister, Margaret. She was the beloved wife of Alan Derek (Nick) Carter, the loving mother of David (deceased) and the sister of the late George. Di was born and brought up in St. Mawes, where she met and married Nick. She was a State Registered Nurse and worked in London prior to living in Sierra Leone and Zambia with Nick for several years. On their return they lived in Devon while raising their family, before finally settling in Cornwall where they lived happily for many years. Both greatly enjoyed walking the countryside and the coast, and travelled widely on numerous occasions. The funeral service is to be held at Penmount Crematorium, Truro on Thursday 19th May at 11am.
