People living in and around Helston are being urged to step forward to become directors and volunteers of the South Kerrier Alliance.
The community interest company, which has been responsible for a number of projects in the community, including the building of the Old Cattle Market next to Coronation Lake, is currently recruiting and is holding an open day this Friday to give people more information.
Between 1pm and 4pm at the Old Cattle Market anyone interesting in joining the group can find out more about the projects over the last decade and meet the current volunteers and directors.
The SKA is looking for anyone who has enthusiasm and a “can do” attitude, with the time and skills they could use to help with projects.
Director Vicki Matthew, who will mark ten years with SKA this May, said: “We are recruiting new directors and would especially welcome anyone with skills in finance, children and young people, publicity and developing SKA membership.
“So if someone has never volunteered before now is their chance.”
Anyone unable to attend the event on Friday but would like more information can contact Mrs Matthew on
