A SCHEME to build four new homes and a site workshop on land at the former Pump House at Swanvale in Falmouth are being supported by the town’s planning committee, providing a pavement is incorporated into the plans.
Committee chairman, councillor Diana Merrett said: “This is in a very drab area and I believe this will bring the area back to a good condition. The problem is there is no pavement and it is a blind bend. I would suggest some of the land is cut back to make way for a new pavement.”
Some councillors had concerns over the plans and highway safety and so abstained from voting. The application will ultimately be determined by Cornwall Council.
