Firefighters were called out to Lanner Hill, Redruth in the early hours of this morning after a fire was reported at a water pumping station.
One fire appliance from Redruth and one fire appliance from Camborne attended the electrical fire at a water pumping station just after 3am.
A spokesman said that firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a carbon dioxide fire extinguisher to deal with the fire involving the electrical intake.
Electrical engineers were also called out to make the scene safe.
