An investment programme by the Isles of Scilly Steamship Company could bring as many as fifty new to ther area.
The company has plans to make changes at the airport at Land's End, as well as plans for a new plane, and work on the Scillonian ferry.
James Marston, Chief Executive of the Isles of Scilly Steamship Company, said: "Certainly at Land's End, we'll make siginificant improvements to harden the runway. Certainly, from our investments in the ship, we'll improve the passenger experience on the ship quite considerably in terms of the interior. It will also mean the ship can operate for longer if we need to.
"There's a range of jobs there, some of which are highly paid for the area. We currently employ, in the winter months, about 160 people. And this significant increase, will be taking us well over 200 in the summer season of this year."
