Following all the festive celebrations in December and at the New Year when WI friends were revealed, it was nice to return to normal with slides by Alan Cox, assisted as usual by Ann.
Old friends these, and on this visit we were shown Cornish churches from all over the county. A thoroughly enjoyable afternoon very much appreciated.
Last week all things Scottish were in evidence to celebrate Burns Day. There was a quiz to get everyone thinking and some jokes and anecdotes. Margaret Sevens played some appropriate music on the piano while a tot of cream liqueur washed down the shortbread and pancakes. Finally there was tea and Auld Lang’s Syne. Altogether an appropriate afternoon’s entertainment. Betty thanked the committee for the organisation.
