On Sunday morning, the preacher was to be Gerald Triggs from St Day. The time for service to commence had come and gone, still no preacher!
Paul Combellack, vestry steward decided to have a period of community hymn singing, which is a Methodist tradition from years ago. The organist Paul Jenkin with Megan and flutes certainly enjoyed the extra music. Mr Triggs thought the service would start at 11am. Peter Gordon took up the offering and coffee was served by Anna Harrington. There were early visitors in attendance.
The Circuit service at Helston Methodist Chapel was at 4pm. Susan Bennetts, Pauline Reed and Sylvia Richards were introduced as our newest local preachers, having completed their training.
