LUMC: On Sunday the preacher taking the service at 11am will be Mr K Mills. Also at 11am there will be Junior Church held in the Sunday schoolroom and Hartley Wills will lead the 6pm service.
On Thursdays at 2pm the Yoga group meets in the Sunday schoolroom. New members are welcome to come along. Are you interested in the worship life of the chapel? If so, would you like to join a group of like-minded people to help to prepare reader services, carol services, etc and the readings for the Lenten Cross and Advent Crown? If so, please have a word with Coz Bushell.
PRIMARY SCHOOL: The children were a credit to the school on Friday, January 18 at the re-opening at the village hall. They sang beautifully and looked incredibly smart in their uniforms. Class one would like to hatch some eggs after half-term as part of their topic – would anyone have an incubator that they could please use? This year to celebrate world book day on Thursday, March7 the children will have a chance to dress in character for the morning. In the afternoon they will be visited by West End in Schools, who will be working with the children to bring books to life with dance workshops.
The school are looking for photographs of Leedstown school from previous years to scan for their website - If you can help please contact the school office.
HAPPY FEET PRE-SCHOOL: This week children will be looking at initial sounds and the colours red and blue. Any donations of socks would be welcome to make a snake for the Chinese New Year. Stay and play sessions for under twos take place in the school hall on Monday and Wednesday, 9am to 10am. Please feel free to come along.

VILLAGE HALL: Blues & Greys country and western club invite you to come along for some country and western music played by professional musicians. Sit and listen to the music or join in the dancing. The entry price is £4.50, tea, coffee and pasties are available, or you can bring your own refreshments!
On Saturday HAYDEN is entertaining from 8pm. Xtend exercise class takes place on Wednesdays at 2pm. The group led by Sylvia Turk involves exercise to music for the older and less able person. For more information ring Sylvia on 01736 757560 or come along and join in
DUKE OF LEEDS PUB: Emma and Stuart, landlady and landlord, are hosting a live music evening on February 9, 9pm till late, which is supporting the Children’s Hospice, South West. Vegas Bride, who play new country, folk and jazz will be performing along with Harvey Taylor who plays acoustic folk music. There will be a raffle.
