A DRINK driver has been banned for 20 months after members of the public who watched her drive over a grass bank followed her car to a house in Falmouth.
After speaking to the driver, Julie Allen, aged 46 of Kings Avenue, they then called the police who realised she had been drinking.
Allen, appearing at Truro Magistrates’ Court pleaded guilty to drink driving at Falmouth on December 28. She tested just over twice the limit. Allen had no previous convictions, Fred Howell, solicitor for Allen, said she was a waitress and had made a terrible mistake by driving, and was very sorry.
She was fined £150 and £105 costs and surcharge and banned from driving for 20 months.
