FILM CLUB: On Saturday, May 4, 45 people joined the inaugural meeting in the village hall to enjoy watching ‘Salmon Fishing in the Yemen’. The hall’s social committee arranged the screening in conjunction with Carn to Cove and the Cornwall Film Festival. It was a great success and by popular vote the next film will be ‘War Horse’ starting at 7.30pm on Saturday. Doors will open at 7pm for a hot drink, popcorn and raffle.

VILLAGE SHOW: The Village Show will be taking place on Saturday, August 24 at the village hall. Please note that under Floral Art there is a change to two of the items: 31, Cool Water - An exhibit using fresh foliage and to incorporate water in a 14 inch space. 32, St Valentine, an exhibit of fresh or artificial material in a nine inch space. FRIENDS OF GODOLPHIN: The Friends are holding their AGM at Townshend village hall at 7pm on June 6. This will be followed by tea, biscuits and an illustrated talk on "The Bats of Godolphin" by Steve Marshall, Bat Ecologist. Members attend for free and non-members are welcome at a cost of £4.

GODOLPHIN HOUSE: More volunteers are needed to help at Godolphin House. This is an interesting way to help the local work of the National Trust at this beautiful West Cornwall property.
