The deceased man has been formally identified as Zachary Collins aged 38 years from Hayle.
A man has died following a crash on the A30 at Loggans, Hayle.
Police say that the collision involved a single vehicle containing two occupants at approximately 3am on Saturday (May 25).
The driver of the vehicle, a 38 year old man, was pronounced dead at the scene and the passenger, a female, was taken to The Royal Cornwall Hospital with what has been described as minor injuries.
Fire Service, Ambulance and Police units attended the scene. Police are conducting an investigation as to how the collision occurred.
Next of kin are being informed and no details of the deceased will be released until a formal identification has taken place.
Road closures were put in place on the A30 at Loggans.
Anyone who witnessed the collision or saw the vehicle being driven prior to the collision is asked to contact police on 101 quoting log number 0129 25/05/13.
