The service on Sunday was taken by the Rev Peter Facer. The opening hymn was “Praise Him, Praise Him.” Prayers were said for thanks and forgiveness.
The baptism of Gracie Karen Field, daughter of Zoe and Lee took place. In his address Peter based it on Matthew chapter 28 v 19-20 and spoke about going and making disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy spirit.
In the prayers of intercessions, prayers were said for the sick, the worried, the weak, the tempted and the sinners. Prayers were also said for the family of the soldier killed last week in the south of England, followed by prayers for those from our community, those in care and nursing homes, the unwell and for baby Gracie and her parents.
The final hymn was “We have a gospel to proclaim.” Organist was Markus Mueller. Tea and coffee was shared.
The service on Sunday will be taken by Gerald Triggs. There will be a pop-in on Monday from 1pm to 3pm.
