This week members met under the clock tower for a shoot on location in Penryn town.
One of next year's competitions has the theme 'Urban Landscape', so this was an opportunity for members to get started. It was a chilly but bright evening, which provided beautiful soft light as the sun set, highlighting buildings and creating long shadows. We progressed from the town centre down to the quay, where the sun shone on the far bank of the river, providing more photographic possibilities.
Our final meeting of the season is on May 29. We will be treated to an evening of humour while testing our knowledge as Geoff James presents his annual quiz. Our summer programme starts on Sunday, June 9 with a visit to Blue Hills, Trevellas for the hill climb stage of the Motorcycling Club's annual Lands End Trial.
Our programme and details of the club can be found on our website at www.penryncameraclub.org.uk Meetings take place each Wednesday at 7.30pm at The Space, Penryn RFC, Kernick Road, Penryn. It is a friendly and welcoming club that aims to help people improve their photography skills. If you would like further information please telephone the chairman Mark Walker on 07518 299379.
