Sunday's service for Trinity Sunday was taken by Father Harry Pugh. The first lesson and the Psalm were read by Maureen Williams, the second lesson by Colin Wroe. Andrew Woods played for the congregation on the piano.
This week's services will be on Sunday at 9.30am (solemn eucharist) and 6pm (evensong and sermon). Thursday is the feast of Corpus Christi and the service for both parishes (St Bartholomew's and St Sithney) will take place at 7pm at St Sithney followed by light refreshments. Choir practice for St Bart's will be on Wednesday at 7.15pm.
The interior redecoration of St Bart's has started, the scaffolding is up and work is underway. The church will be open at times during the week and of course on Sunday, so come and have a look to see what is going on.
On Saturday June 1 there will be a coffee morning at the Atlantic Inn from 10.30am to raise funds for the redecoration. Raffle, cake stall, etc. All welcome.
Sunday, June 30 marks the 40th anniversary of Fr Harry's ordination and a celebratory two-course lunch is planned following the 10.30am service at St Bart's. The cost of the lunch will be £8 per person. All welcome.
