A Falmouth man who had been banned from many of the pubs in the town through the Pub Watch scheme had persisted in visiting them and being ejected on an almost daily basis, Truro magistrates have heard.

Bradley Scott Turner, aged 35, of Killigrew Street, pleaded guilty to using threatening behaviour in Falmouth on March 3.

Alison May, for the CPS, said a door supervisor at Cribs Bar in Falmouth had told Turner he could not enter because of his previous behaviour, but then later found him inside causing a disturbance and in a drunken state.

Told to leave, Turner swore and told the supervisor he was going to stab him in the neck. He was ejected and arrested.

Turner told the magistrates: “I have had a drinking problem all my life. I hate the person I become when I have had a drink and I am really trying to get it under control. I don’t remember any of this, and some of the stuff I have said I feel sick to my stomach about.”

He said he was trying to get help, and had apologised to the door staff at the club.

Turner was fined £35 and £45 costs and surcharge and given a drink banning order for a year.
