Plans to convert the former lodge in Kimberley Park in Falmouth to create a new cafe and meeting room/exhibition space have been submitted by the town council.

The building has been redundant for the past five years and the town council has made no secret of its aspirations to create a community facility which will complement the recent improvements made to the park.

The application, which seeks to make internal structural alterations, which will include the creation of servery hatches, will be discussed by the town’s planning committee on Monday evening, June 2.
