Near 30 jobs have been lost at a Cornish based renewable energy company after it went into administration.
Staff at Enact Energy Renewables, based at Tolvaddon, have been made redundant, with Exeter-based Begbies Traynor business restructuring and insolvency advisors appointed as joint administrators.
All 29 members of the company’s staff were made redundant "on account of the company’s insolvency".
Attempts are being made to find a buyer for "some or all of the company’s business undertaking and assets", according to the administrators.
Enact Energy was established in 1996, and helped customers save money and energy by reducing domestic fuel bills with insulation, solar electricity and hot water systems and more recently heating and boiler upgrades.
Enact was one of 22 firms that agreed to be pioneers in rolling out the government’s flagship energy efficiency scheme, which enables consumers to have energy efficiency measures installed in their homes without any upfront cost.
