A parade through Falmouth town centre marked the official inauguration of Cornwall's first university this afternoon.
The former University College Falmouth was granted full university status in November.
It is now referred to as Falmouth University.

Students, lecturers and council representatives paraded through the town earlier to mark the occasion, followed by a service of dedication at the Church of King Charles the Matyr.
A gala dinner will be held later this evening at Pendennis Castle to top off the day of celebration.
