Police are investigating a robbery which took place in Newquay on Monday.
At about 2.45pm a man entered Linden Stores on Linden Avenue, Newquay carrying a knife and demanded money from a shop assistant.
He acted alone and made off with an amount of cash from the till. No-one was injured as a result of the incident.
Local officers and scenes of crime officers attended.
The suspect is described as 5ft 8ins, in his early 20s, with fair hair and facial stubble. He was wearing a black raincoat, a distinctive green hoody with light green stripes and blue jeans.
DI Beckerleg, from the local investigation team, said: “These incidents are rare and we would like to reassure people we are making every effort to identify and catch the offender. We would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the robbery to come forward.”
